The Kenya Medical Missions Team will be serving the people of Mombasa, Kenya.  Mombasa is a city located on the beautiful shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

Mombasa’s population is mainly Muslim.  Praise GOD for the opportunity to again reach out to the Muslim community through multiple vehicles such as medical, dental, evangelization, healing crusades and other areas as GOD directs.

Please pray for the Team as they go into this field that is ready for harvesting.

UPDATE: 8/22/17
Bwana asifiwe (praise the Lord!!!), the Mombassa missionaries have arrived safely in the beautiful country of Kenya! We cleared customs with no problems and arrived safely at our hotel where we were fed a delicious meal, sweet melons and Stony!! (be sure to ask about Stony! Its definitely worth the 17 hour flight to the other side of the world!) Tomorrow we will be participating in the prayer walk on the grounds of the medical camp and packaging and preparing medical supplies and medicines. Please keep all missionaries covered in prayer as we prepare to SEARCH SIEGE AND SECURE SOULS FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!! Mungu akubariki na tuonane badaaye! (God bless you and we will see you later!)

UPDATE: 8/22/17
Greetings Prayer Warriors,

It gives us great pleasure to report that after 8,079 miles and 15.35 hours of flying, THE LORD landed us safely in Mombasa, Kenya.  Our God is faithful.  This year our Medical Mission consists of 24 people from seven different churches, two medical doctors, one dentist, seven nurses and a host of evangelists.

We arrived in Mombasa around 12 noon, after a smooth transition thru Customs, we gathered our personal luggage and 43 duffle bags consisting of medicine, clothing, shoes, flip flops, etc. and headed for our hotel.  After receiving a warm reception from the hotel manager and staff, we received our keys and were able to rest for a short period.

Later we met to discuss the execution of our plans for a successful medical camp.  In addition to providing free medical care, we will minister the Word of God to the people who will be coming to the medical camp, introducing them to the Great Physician. Before dinner, the team met to take an inventory of the medications we have from last year as well as the medications we received from donors from home.  This process will continue on Wednesday afternoon for we have several bags of medication coming from Nairobi.

On Wednesday we will hit the grounds running, first visiting the Medical Camp grounds at 9 a.m. to pray over the grounds and the needs of the people, we will go over the layout of the camp to ensure the best flow for receiving the people.  We ask that you continue to keep the team lifted in prayer as we have much to do over a short period.  In addition, please keep Bishop Patrick Thomas, Senior Pastor, Dale City Christian Church lifted in prayer tomorrow as he meets with 20 churches and pastors at Utamge Baptist Church for a leadership conference.

UPDATE: 8/23/17
Today we have embarked upon the point of our journey where the diversity and uniqueness of the
several gifts of our team merged with the unique gifts of the host team here in Mombasa. The stage is set for God to release an anointing of healing deliverance and salvation. Our pastoral team visited five churches within a 100 mile radius to meet and greet new and incoming pastors to be introduced into the Kingdom Pastors Alliance which has been established by Shalom Outreach, International. The medical team established their locations on the camp grounds and the evangelistic team prayer walked the grounds saturating every inch with the Spirit of God and the power of His blood. Tomorrow we begin our work! We will be ministering to the sick both naturally and spiritually. The evangelism team will be going into the villages praying, laying hands and declaring the full manifestation of the will of Jehovah Jireh and Jehovah Ropha!

We pray you and your family members are experiencing a mighty move of God in your lives today. Thank you for adding our petitions to your daily prayer agenda, we are most grateful.

Much work was needed to get the school in place to receive our guests.

Much of our evening was dedicated to packing medicines, medical supplies and, organizing the clothes for distribution at the camp.

UPDATE: 8/24/17

Wow! The first day of the medical camp has been completed! Our triage team reported 389 patients coming into the camp. Dr. and Mrs. Tony Puller reported 20-25 patients seen in the dental clinic. There were 8 surgeries and over 500 toothbrushes and toothpaste distributed. The pharmacy ran well and medications were distributed properly. Dr. Kimberly Turner, our OBGYN doctor stated there were 30 breast and pelvic examinatins completed. Per Dr. Haithcock, internal medicine doctor, states the Kenyan team and administration received the Shalom team warmly and made us feel at home. Approximately 55 patients were seen in his clinic. The illnesses that were treated reflected the absense of proper and timely medical care. The primary cause of this deficiency is financial. Some of the patients seen had medical maladies that that exceeded a medical remedy in the natural. In these cases and indeed every case, each of the doctors and their staff consulted the great physician! Clothing and 2000 bags of food were also distributed to the people of Mombasa! We praise God for His marvelous works and we thank Him in advance for continued miracles, signs and wonders in the lives of those we serve and our own respectively!
~Elder Calvin Jones

The Team remains grateful for the opportunities our Lord has afforded us to be used by Him.  Today was the first of three medical camps that we will conduct in Mombasa.  We would like to point out, during the opening ceremony of the medical camp three doctors (Drs. Haithcock, Turner and Puller) on our team prayed to the Great Physician innovating His healing power to flow through them as they ministered to the patients.

We are happy to report nearly 400 people received free medical examinations (In an area where nurses are on strike), free medicine and vitamins, free clothing and shoes and we were able to feed  many on the camp grounds as well as 62 families in a nearby village.  It was the goal of the Evangelist Team to pray for every person who came for medical attention and to lead people to the Lord.  In addition, ladies and girls received free spa treatment which they thoroughly enjoyed.

This was a very full but rewarding day.  We are also grateful that the challenges of organizing a medical camp were very few.  The Team worked together in the midst of high temperature to ensure the needs of the patients were met.

Following the Medical Camp, we met briefly to review the activities of the day and to receive input from the personnel.  Please continue to pray that the Team will remain vigilant, spiritual breakthroughs will occur in all ministry assignments, the Evangelistic Team will effectively minister the Gospel, all equipment will function properly, endurance for all team member, ample supply of medication, powerful demonstration of God’s power.

UPDATE: 8/25/17

The Spirit of the living God fell fresh upon the 2017 Kenya Medical Mission Team here in Mombasa, Kenya today. What a colabraration of Heaven and Earth that took place at the Mt Wapa Primary School. God used the natural gifts, talents, professional skills and life experiences of the team’s and Kenyan volunteers to manifest the Supernatural right before our eyes today. Over 1,100 people’s lives have been spiritually and medically impacted today alone (at times it was as if lines for services had no ending). Mr. Elphas Deputy Principal of the school said that our Medical Mission couldn’t have come at a better time for their community since most of the nurses in this area were on strike. The country of Africa will never be the same. Lives were saved, bodies were healed, and destinies were fulfilled for Souls (women, children and men) from all walks of life today. For truly God has manifested His Glory and His Kingdom right here in Mombasa, Kenya before us all. I have but two words left…….

We serve The Almighty God, The Everlasting Father!!!  Hello Prayer Warriors!

Truly we experienced the mighty hand of God moving throughout the Medical Camp today.  At the conclusion of the Medical Camp held at Mtwapa Primary  School this evening 1,105 people received free medical help which brings our total to 1,494.

In addition to free medical examinations, this year we were able to meet the needs of many people in several different ways such as:  free medication was distributed at our pharmacy window, many received free dental care, people received free clothing, free food, prayer and salvation.  We set up a spa room where women and girls were pampered, in addition we transformed a classroom into a boutique where all who wanted clothes could pick up a few items.  Needless to say this is ministry too.

An older woman came to the camp limping (using a tree branch) because of the pain in her body.  We witnessed her leaving with her medication, a new pair of flip flops, a walker and money to catch her bus to get home.

More excitement is in the air as we draw closer to the conclusion of our Medical Camp tomorrow.  Please continue to trust God for all your needs, let’s remember each other in prayer.

Sending greetings and love from the 2017 Kenya Medical Mission Team.

Following our powerful morning devotion, the Team gathered at Utange Baptist Church toset up our third medical camp.  We want to give a great big shout out to the men on our Team who did an outstanding job of converting the classrooms to a place suitable to receive patients.   This was not a small task, but God!!!

This was our first medical camp held on the grounds of a church and we were so delightedto be a part of the great work this church does for the Kingdom:  feeding and educating orphans, providing shoes and clothing for them….the work of the church.  The Team was touched by the number of children we saw at Utgange, children who stood in line to receive food that was distributed.  These children once again witnessed the love of Jesus in action.  Hundreds of children left the camp with food in their hands and flip flops to cover their bare feet.  We are so grateful to see the hands of God in motion.

A room was set up for the children to express themselves using their artistic talent.  The room was overflowing with eager young people, again ministry at work.  We were able to involve our lives in the lives with these bright young people telling them about the love of Jesus and encouraging them they are destined for greatness.

At the conclusion of this medical camp 277 people received free medical care bringing the total to 1,771.  We will report the number of individuals who received salvation after we receive confirmation from the various teams.

Our day was long, but we endured,  it was hot, but we recovered, our muscles were sore, but we received strength from the great Physician. Looking/thinking back, we would do it all again.  Considering what Jesus did for us…selah.

Please continue to pray for the children of Mombasa and for the men and women.  Please pray that more attention will be given to the health care of the people.  The Medical Mission ended, but your prayers will go forth making a difference in this nation.  We have not because we ask not.

Thanks again prayer warriors for your spiritual support.  Your prayers enabled us to endure like good soldiers.

UPDATE: 8/27/17

The Team was able to go to three different churches in Mombasa to worship and three preachers from the Team delivered the word in these churches.  We all were met with warm smiles and lots of hugs, indeed we felt welcome.

Following the worship services, we all met back at the hotel for lunch and the rest of the day was spent doing fun things like riding a camel on the beach of the India Ocean, soaking up the sun, resting, etc.

We will board our plane for home at 5:40 p.m. we ask that you use the Prayer Agenda that was given to you to pray for the Team.  We recognize we are still on mission for The Lord….please continue to pray.
