Announcements for the Week of April 27, 2025

  1. Our Pastoral Anniversary Celebration kicks off this week!  This year’s theme is Victory Tracks – based on the scripture 1John 5:4 which says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”  Our Kickoff Rally is Wednesday, April 30th at 7pm!  We encourage you to wear our Victory Tracks T-shirt or Mt. Gilead apparel as we come together in unity to present our individual monetary seeds!  Then, on Sunday, May 4th our Anniversary Service starts at 10AM with special guest minister, Pastor Julian Dangerfield.  We’re excited to honor our pastors: Bishop Daniel & Co-Pastor Elena Robertson as they celebrate 35 years in ministry!

 

  1. Our grief support ministry, Oil of Joy is hosting a virtual encounter on Friday, May 9th at 6:30pm. This Zoom session is focused on reflecting and honoring your mother this Mother’s Day.  To receive the Zoom link, email OilofJoy@MtGileadFGIM.net

 

  1. We thank God for the spiritual mother of this house, Co-Pastor Elena Robertson! We look forward to honoring her and all mothers on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11th.

 

  1. Our Youth Ministry, GenSalve RVA is volunteering on the Mt. Gilead Farm on Saturday, May 10th from 9:30am to 12pm. Parents, please use our online registration page to sign-up your child.

 

  1. Our Kingdom Overcomers Support Ministry will meet on Monday, May 12 at 7pm. This group ministers to those battling any type of addiction.  Common addictions include drugs, alcohol, gambling, pornography, food, gaming, and social media.  This is a safe space where you can receive support.

 

  1. Ladies, we’re so excited for our first WOW Encounter of 2025! Women of the Word, we’re coming together on Friday, May 16th at 7pm.  Co-Pastor Elena Robertson is bringing an encouraging Word, so invite your lady friends and we’ll see you there!

 

  1. National Day of Prayer is this Thursday, May 1st! Start the day at the Christian Leadership Prayer Breakfast hosted by “For Richmond.” This nonprofit brings Christians together to transform metro Richmond.  Bishop Robertson is on the program.  The breakfast starts at 7am at 2101 Maywill Street. Tickets are $30.  If you are interested, sign up through the link on our Online Registration page.
