Announcements for the Week of October 1, 2026

  1. WOW Encounter with Co-Pastor Elena Robertson is just a few weeks away! Ladies, join our women’s ministry on Friday, October 23rd!  This year, we’re embracing the full comeback, returning to who God created us to be as we flow in the Glory. The evening will start with corporate prayer at 6:15pm, followed by WOW Encounter at 7pm.  Then, stick around for the WOW After Party.  Registration is free.  We just want to know you’re coming.
  1. Also happening in October, we’re participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Our cancer support ministry, Just Support Extended, has a team.  If you’d like to walk on Saturday Oct. 17th or donate to the cause, head to our Online Registration page for details.

  2. Our grief support ministry invites you to a virtual encounter on Monday, October 5th at 6:30PM. This Oil of Joy Encounter will focus on maternal grief as we hear from guest speaker, Aniya Ryan.  She has a powerful testimony about how God blessed her and her husband with two children after the loss of their firstborn.  Send an email to OilOfJoy@MtGileadFGIM.net to receive the Zoom link.
  3. On Saturday, October 10th, Operation Thunder will hit the streets of central Virginia to snatch back souls from the enemy! Volunteer with our domestic missions ministry as we provide meals, prayer, and hope to those in need.  Sign up online.
  1. Parents, if you have a little one, come out to our GenSalve Parent/Toddler Event on Sunday, October 11th. Join us at Romp n Roll from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Get active with your toddler and enjoy pizza and dessert.  This is open to kids 3 years older and younger.  Register online.
  1. Helps Ministry, save the date for Bishop Robertson’s Visionary Impartation this month. It’s happening Tuesday, October 20th at 7PM.
  1. If you’re interested in traveling on the mission field next year, 2027 Mission Applications open Sunday, November 1st. To access the application, visit our Forms page under “Member Services.” Please use this time to make sure your passport is up to date.  If it expires within the next year, make plans now to renew it.
  1. We have a new product in the bookstore – Gilead reuseable grocery bags! Represent the ministry when you pick up items at your favorite stores.  One bag is $5, so consider buying one for yourself and one for someone else! Stop by The Transformation Center before you head home!

For applications or events requiring sign-up, please visit our church Online Registration page: www.MtGileadFGIM.org/Online-Registration.
