Announcements for the Week of April 5, 2026

  1. We’re excited to host Children’s Dedication on April 26th during our 10AM Sunday Worship Encounter. This is a special moment for families to publicly dedicate their children to the Lord through prayer.  It’s open to everyone, whether you’re a member or not.  If you have a child you’d like to have dedicated, please complete an Interest Form today. Just visit our website and look for the Online Registration page to get started.

  2. Our domestic missions ministry is partnering with Virginia State University for a Community Day! Join Operation Thunder on Saturday, April 18th between 7:30AM and 3:00PM for food, fun and festivities! Sign up on our church website to volunteer and be a blessing to this community!

  3. On Monday, April 6th please note the church office is closed in observance of Resurrection Sunday.

  4. On Thursday, April 9th at 11:00AM we will celebrate the life of one of our own members, Sister Deborah Coe. Please join us for her home-going celebration and continue keep her family in prayer.

  5. On Friday, April 10th our women’s ministry is coming together for WOW Encounter! Join Co-Pastor Elena Robertson for a powerful night of worship, the Word, and sisterhood. Then, make plans to stick around for our WOW After Party!  We’ll have food, shopping, and meaningful resources for mental health support!  Meet us here at Mt. Gilead at 7:00PM!
  1. Mark your calendars for this year’s Pastoral Anniversary! Gilead, our Bishop and Co-Pastor are celebrating 36 years in ministry.  We are so grateful for their leadership and legacy. Join us on Wednesday, April 29th for our kick-off rally and on Sunday, May 3rd for our Celebration Service. 

  2. Our Economic Empowerment Ministry is hosting a Business Symposium on Saturday, June 6th. Our theme is “Kingdom Business: Practical Strategies that Manifest Results.” If you’re a business owner, we encourage you to attend.  Registration will be available on our church website.
  1. Husbands and wives, you don’t want to miss our next fellowship! Save the Date and join our Marriage Ministry on the Spirit of Norfolk Dinner Cruise on Saturday, October 3rd.  Registration details will be shared later this spring.
